    The opioid epidemic kills more people than domestic terrorism and a greater threat to our nation than international terrorism, yet many of our leaders are not interested in reallocating funds for this cause. The Washington Post's Weekly Health Analysis looks at some of the ways the healthcare and insurance industries are stepping in when government leaders will not.

  • "If you don't have health care, you're not free."

    Under a single-payer system, all residents of the U.S. would be covered for all medically necessary services, including doctor, hospital, preventive, long-term care, mental health, reproductive health care, dental, vision, prescription drug and medical supply costs. 

  • Health Care as a Basic Human Right

    ANA has long supported health care reform because we believe health care should be a basic human right in this country.  We believe that society has a moral obligation to provide basic health care to all people and that access to basic health care should not be limited by an individual’s ability to pay.
