VA 7th USA Endorses Spanberger for PROGRESS

Abigail Spanberger wins Democratic Nomination on June 12, 2018

VA 7th USA is committed to supporting candidates, legislators, and policy that promote PROGRESS in Virginia, which includes universal healthcare, high quality public education, renewable energy and high environmental standards, equality, dignity, and justice for all persons, responsible government, and a stronger, caring America. VA 7th USA is proud to endorse Democratic nominee Abigail Spanberger, who is a formidable opponent to current Representative Brat, whose regressive politics threaten the health and welfare of his constituents.

Spanberger is committed to being accessible to all prospective constituents, as evidenced by a Spanish-language interview on Radio Poder 1380, attendance at over 100 meet and greets, high visibility at local churches and events, and a promise to be available in the District. She and her campaign were buoyed by the support of over 1000 volunteers who made calls, knocked doors, wrote postcards, and greeted voters at the polls.

Spanberger received tremendous financial support from her supporters as well, raising over $900,000 before the Primary. Per a campaign press release, as of March filings 75% of her support came from within Virginia and over 50% was from in District, contrasting her with other candidates and Rep. Brat.

Spanberger has refused campaign donations from corporate PACs and is also endorsed by Emily’s List, Mom’s Demand Action, NARAL (and more), as well as, civil rights icon Clarence Dunnaville, Jr., Richmond Mayor Honorable Levar Stoney, and many other leaders of high respect.
